EMA ADAMOVE

Film editor

Ema Adamove

While pursuing my master's degree at the Editing Department of FAMU, I had the opportunity to edit my first feature-length documentary, "15x15x5 Minasalon 1984" (dir. Janek Růžička) in 2022. In the same year, I worked on the documentary "Serpentis" (dir. Sarah Lomenová), which went on to win the Pavel Koutecký Award.

My focus has primarily been on editing documentaries, although I have gained experience in various film genres such as short dramas, experimental movies, trailers, and animated films. Throughout my studies, I actively participated in workshops like the European Editing Masterclass (2018 as a participant, 2024 as a teacher assistant), and Ex Oriente (2021 as a trailer editor). I also provided live editing support for the play "Misanthrope" (dir. Jan Frič) at the National Theater.

In addition to film editing, I am passionate about film restoration. I completed internships at Pharos (ARRI group) in Berlin, focusing on digital image restoration, and at the digilab of NFA in Prague. Currently, I am in the process of completing my master's degree at FAMU while concurrently working on various film projects as an editor or assistant editor.
